Our Philosophy

Reggio Emilia inspired school where children are respected and seen as individuals. We believe that children learn through exploration and meaningful experiences in collaboration with their teachers, parents and the community.
We help children establish strong concepts of identity while helping them think and reason in order to develop long lasting learning through the exploration they encounter on a daily basis.
We see our school as a strong stable leader in the education and development of children as well as a critical resource that enriches the whole community by educating, nurturing and successfully developing techniques that help those families most in need.
We believe that there must be many opportunities for the child to socialize with peers and adults. Each child is an individual with unique interests, likes and dislikes. He or she must have frequent opportunities for free choice and self expression.
We believe a child learns best in a stimulating environment. Our curriculum provides for a balance between teacher-directed activities, self exploration, and plenty of play. We provide and encourage the children to participate in many activities which will develop them physically, socially, and cognitively.
A great deal of care is taken to communicate often, and to accomplish this we have a bilingual and multicultural staff. As early childhood educators, we are professionals with a strong working knowledge of the developmental stages through which children grow.
All of our programs are either accredited or in the process of applying for accreditation through the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs or NAEYC and / or APPLE.

About Us

What is Reggio Emilia?

The city Reggio Emilia in Italy is recognized worldwide for its innovative approach to education. Its signature educational philosophy has become known as the Reggio Emilia Approach, one which many preschool programs around the world have adopted. The Reggio Emilia philosophy is based upon the following set of principles:

  • Children must have some control over the direction of their learning;

  • Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing;

  • Children have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore and

  • Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.

Hallbridge Prep is a DBA for Kinder House Learning Center.  We are an approved private school with  the Florida Department of Education.  We hold our school code and that is why we are able to receive Step Up for Students Scholarships.  Schools without a DOE number are not able to receive scholarships from Step Up.  AT the moment we are starting a three year study to become an IB school.  We hold National standards and we teach a year ahead of what is required by public schools.  In other words the school curriculum is a year ahead.  We are a hands on school and we learn through experiences (following the Reggio Approach), experiments and studies.  All our teachers are state certified and bilingual.  Our school places a strong emphasis on cultures, languages and heritage.  That is why we study world geography since Kindergarten and we also implement French and Italian besides Spanish starting in First Grade.

Our Mission

The mission of Hallbridge Preparatory is to provide a safe, prepared, loving environment for children that foster imagination, creativity and critical thinking and that creates and nurtures independence, self-esteem and respect for others, for self, and for their surroundings.  It is our mission to foster an environment full of experiences which create open-ended exploration and provokes curiosity and growth for children, teachers, and parents and therefore deepens the connections to our community and the world around us.  It is our intention to create a partnership with our parents through communication, active involvement, and training.
